Phase 1, Post 10: Salient Identities

In class I stated my personal salient identity as age. I think that my age defines who I am because I don't always act it. Sometimes I act younger than I should and at other times I act like an old lady! But also, age has a lot to do with the salient identities of the group of people we are trying to market our product to. The product of transforming your phone into a mouse is geared towards students and workers. Most likely people who are working or in a classroom setting and using more tech related things would want to use this type of modification of a mouse. Age has a lot to do with our audience because it is likely (although not 100% true) that younger generations would use new technologies rather than older and somewhat "old fashioned" generations. However, this product could also cater to the older generations in the sense that they would be using a mouse product that feels like a computer mouse rather than using the keypad on a laptop. In some ways our product is open to all ages.
