A makerspace is a place where people can work freely both independently and with others. I think diversity plays a part in this the same way it does in the tech industry. Sometimes people are shied away from working in an open space with so much talent. A lot of the times minorities like women are not comfortable to work in a space with so much "masculinity". However, as we grow and as people come to see, women are starting to make a name in areas other than what seem to be conventional before. Some questions I have for the area are:
How are you inclusive to all minorities such as women and people of color?
How do you make the space comfortable for others and make it more inviting?
Do people often work together or is it usually independent work?
What are some interesting projects people have worked on?
